Castle Pines is located along I-25 in Douglas County, Colorado  at an elevation of 6,368 feet. Castle Pines is far enough away from the urban sprawl to feel “away from it all” yet is still within an easy highway commute. Castle Pines is only 20 miles (32 km) south of downtown Denver and 43 miles (69 km) north of Colorado Springs. The city is part of the greater Denver metropolitan area and is just north of Castle Rock, the county seat.

Castle Pines lies in the Colorado Piedmont on the western edge of the Great Plains.  It offers up fantastic views in all directions! According to the United States Census Bureau, Castle Pines has a total area of only 9.01 square miles (23.3 km2).
